I did this spring theme cake for 3rd Birthday of my lil' princess. I wanted to do something relevant to the time of the year and since my dotty's birthday falls on April 30th, a spring garden filled with flowers, butterflies, bugs, caterpillars, snails seemed appropiate. Started out with a white garden fence on the bottom tier complete with grassy pathway, flower vines and snails. Middle tier covered with pink fondant depicted the colorful floral beauty. The topmost tier conveyed the sky with blue fondant and butterflies hovering around. The top was decorated wih the number three also in the same theme. The cake could not be complete without matching garden theme parting gifts. Parting gifts included cupcakes iced green and pink floral sugar cookies surrounded by colorful chcolate candies in a clear cylindrical box decorated in the same theme. It was a spring dream come true to see the expression on lil angel's face when she saw the cake and parting gifts!
